HEAD START & PRE-K FOR ALL PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS

FREE preschool for children 3 & 4 years who qualify.
School day programs, four days a week and half day options available.
Meals & snacks provided, health services, parent involvement & services for children with special needs.
Transportation may be provided (GRSP only).

*All children must be 3 or 4 years old on or before December 1st of the current year.

What you need to get started:

Birth Certificate

You must provide your child’s certified birth certificate. Certificates may be obtained from the county building (the county in which your child was born).

Immunization Records

Official MCIR (Michigan Care Improvement Registry) from physician's office. Immunizations are available at the Muskegon County Health Department, 1903 Marquette Ave.

Report Income

Report Income: self report on application with supporting documents if needed:

3 year old program applicants- provide proof of any document listed below or your 2025 tax form.

4 year old program applicants- provide proof of any document listed below or self-report income on application.

Health Forms

A Health Form will be provided in the application packet. A physical examination is required.

Dental Form

A Dental Form will be provided in the application packet. A dental examination is required for Head Start only.

A preschool application must be picked up and completed to enroll your child into a program
